HOW MUCH IS THAT PUMPKIN IN THE WINDOW?

RANSOMSOUL

It looks like it's going to be a little tougher than we thought with carving our pumpkin this year. Matisse has built a surprising love affair with Mrs. 'P' and there are family meetings ongoing to decide what will be the best way to manage the decorating phase. There may be a need to purchase some Magic Markers because as you can see, this looks to be more than 'puppy love'.

IT WAS BOUND TO HAPPEN...

There has been a unique passing of the baton over the years, with each kid having a special moment in destruction of something valuable. Mika had held the crown from years past with her constant need to throw things in the trash. Throwing trash in the trash is great, but keys, money and jewelry can add up to a pretty bad act. Matisse wanting to challenge every record on the books, felt it necessary to express his artistic side. As with Mika, if he would have followed the normal protocol with a marker and paper, all would be fine.

However, when your two tools are a crayon and a sofa, it's not going to end well. The best thing about being two years old, is you are still in the gray area of not really knowing what's wrong, until you are explained of the wrong you've done. While I went over the errors of his ways, Matisse looked at me with great focus - when I finished I waited for a vocal response, but he just nodded his head, reached his arms out and gave be a tight embrace. It's amazing how children allow you to develop a new level of understanding that you never thought you would have. Currently the house has been scanned for all marking tools, and they have been removed until further notice.

*BONUS - HAT AND GO SEEK

RANSOMSOUL

WAITING FOR HIS SISTERS & BROTHER

RANSOMSOUL

It's pretty often for Matisse to wake from a nap and it fall right before arrival of Mika & Kai from school. After the normal highs and lows from the wake up process, he tends to start the vocal calls for his brother and sister. If he's feeling lucky, he will head out to the front gate and wait for them to come home. It's great when they come soon there after, but when it's a longer wait, this is a sad image to record.

GONE 2 SOON...

RANSOMSOUL

The President of Ransomville has come home, but he's heading right back out next week. This would be less painful if I didn't have two shows this weekend. I'm happy for the kids, because they'll get some quality one on one time, but the first lady has some needs too you know. Hopefully we will be able to steal some special moments before he heads out.

*On a side note, as you can clearly see when Jason's not around the posts just don't seem to pop up as much. He has asked me to share the adventures while he's gone but it's hard to write on a blog you're such a fan of the author.
